This should be illegal: Claude Opus 5.5 built a robotic cobra with 47 mechanical segments that you can take apart piece by piece.
3D artists need to see what happens at 0:17.
I tested a technique where every moving part is built as a separate mechanism before the final machine comes together.
> The cobra rises from its coil and spreads 14 mechanical hood ribs across 124°.
> At 0:04 its head opens, revealing camera optics, folding fangs and a forked sensor.
> At 0:09 one body ring opens to expose the gears and joints underneath.
> At 0:17 the entire cobra explodes into individual mechanical components.
> At 0:19 those components begin assembling back into the complete snake.
> At 0:23 it lunges toward the camera with its hood fully deployed.
The crazy part is that this isn't just an animation. It's a 3D simulator with individual assemblies, live servo readings and a complete teardown mode.

A 47-segment mechanical cobra you can take apart piece by piece
Mura used Claude Opus 5.5 to build an interactive 3D cobra with 47 mechanical segments. You can open body rings to see gears and joints, explode it into individual components, and watch it reassemble before it lunges.
