Ed’s on the Beach is coming to Gulfport! We love this city, and I am excited about what our team gets to build here.

My thanks to the Gulfport Redevelopment Commission and the Gulfport City Council, which voted 6–1 in support of the project. I am grateful for their confidence in us and the work that has brought us to this point.

We’re beginning the design phase, with the hope of opening in early spring 2028.

After 10 years in Hattiesburg, families have made Ed’s their place. School groups, ball teams, and grandparents with their grandkids keep us busy. Bringing that same fun to Gulfport’s Small Craft Harbor, with the beach right there, has our whole team ready to get going.

The plans include upstairs dining and a large deck overlooking the Mississippi Sound, outdoor games, beach volleyball, and plenty of burgers and milkshakes.

Downstairs, The Sand Bar at Ed’s will be a big, open-air beach bar with cold beer, frozen cocktails, and good options for those of us who don’t drink alcohol. The kids won’t be the only ones asking to stay another half hour.

We’re planning concerts on the beach, an annual Ed’sFest, and Sunset Hour, when everybody can gather and watch the sun go down. I’m already picturing an evening with friends, a band playing, and supper on the deck.

With Jones Park, Mississippi Aquarium, and the harbor nearby, we have a great opportunity to add to what Gulfport has built. We want locals to make us their regular stop, and we’ll take our responsibility to the property, sea oats, and public beach access seriously.

Come along as we build it. Follow edsonthebeach on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. We’ll share drawings, menu testing, construction progress, and opening news. I intend to be heavily involved in the burger testing.

Thank you, Gulfport. We look forward to serving you.

Ed’s on the Beach. Way more than a burger joint.

Onward.

The images here are AI-generated concept renderings to give you a look at what we’re planning. We’re beginning the design phase now, so the building and site layout may change slightly as we work through the details. We’ll share that progress on our social accounts.
