About 10 hours, 21 rounds of revisions and 1.3M polygons. Vintage gym built with GPT-6 Astra driving Blender on a MacBook Pro.
One of the coolest moments was directing the hoop construction and flooring, then watching it source manufacturer specs and technical drawings. If you build to spec, you know how tedious hunting down dimensions and blocking everything out at the right scale can be. Astra handled that part really well and fast.
Definitely not one prompt. Lots of art direction, refs and corrections. Still room to push it but honestly pretty impressed.
Curious where other artists land on this workflow. When a brief or contest says โno AI,โ does building an editable 3D scene this way fall into that bucket? Where do you draw the line?
I'm torn. I could've bought a similar asset from CG Trader or Turbo and wouldn't have thought twice. Not saying they're the same thing, but it's makes you think. ๐ค

A vintage gym built in Blender over 21 rounds of revisions
Spenser Dickerson, a product marketing manager, spent about 10 hours directing GPT-6 Astra in Blender on a MacBook Pro. Asked for a hoop and flooring built to spec, it sourced manufacturer drawings and blocked everything out at the right scale. Lots of art direction, not one prompt.
