My iPhone swore we were safe, but Claude Code found 14 hidden AirTags feeding our family’s location to a stranger. Apple never warned us once…
I still do not know who planted them, or how long they had been leaking where we are.
I work in cybersecurity. We moved into a new house two months ago, and last weekend I finally ran my first real sweep, expecting nothing.
An AirTag is a tiny Bluetooth tracker. It sends your live location to whoever planted it. Your iPhone is supposed to warn you, but not about the hacked version anyone can buy on eBay for $80.
12 of the 14 were rigged to go quiet, with the speaker pulled out and the alert killed.
I borrowed a radio from work to catch the weak signals, then had Claude Code map every one hiding in the house:
my car → 3
my wife's car → 3
our bags → 4
coats and a suitcase → 4
Fourteen trackers, across two cars and every bag we own.
I asked the people at work who track this. They say these cases have exploded in the last six months, mostly on people who never thought they were a target, and whoever plants the tags usually sells your location to someone else.
So check yourself tonight. Full step-by-step below, save it.

Claude Code mapped 14 hidden AirTags tracking a family
goldtooth.exe, who works in cybersecurity, ran a sweep with a radio and Claude Code, which mapped 14 hidden AirTags planted across two cars and every bag. Twelve had the speaker pulled and alert suppressed.
